Frequently Asked Questions
Could you help me design my artwork?
Yes we can! We quote based on a competitive studio hourly rate of £75 per hour, excluding the purchasing of image/font licenses if needed. Feel free to provide us with ay brand specific imagery or spcialist fonts you want used in your design.
My frame is damaged, am I covered by any warranty?
Yes, in the case of manufacturing defects and faults, you are protected by a 5-year warranty on Revolution Pop-up frames and lightboxes and 10-year warranty on Tension Fabric Frames. Please note this only extends to manufacturing faults or defects and does not cover accidental damage.
Can I wash my fabric graphics?
It is possible to machine wash all fabrics produced by Preview Display, however we urge caution and suggest that if machine washing, use a low heat (approx 40°) to avoid distorting the fabric. All fabrics can be washed by hand, using a spong and luke-warm water, however tide marks can be apparent on backlit fabriccs when illuminated, so proceed with caution.
Do you require bleed and crop marks?
All of our artwork templates contain our required 50mm of bleed to all edges for cutting and finishing purposes. If you’re creating your artwork from scratch, then you would need to add this bleed onto the artwork size. Crop marks are not required as we centre our cut on the artwork itself.
I’m sending in artwork for a bespoke size and there’s no template, how do I set this up?
If you’re creating your own artboards from scratch, we recommend that these are set up at 25% scale, with 50mm of bleed at 100% scale to all sides, so 12.5mm at 25%). See our Artwork Guidelines document for further technical information.
What formats do you accept artwork in?
Artwork should be saved in PDF format. Whilst we can work with other formats, such as EPS, PSD and AI files, working from a PDF means all images and fonts shoudl be embedded and won’t be lost when opened on our systems. See our Artwork Guidelines for more in-depth information. We work at 25% of finished size, meaning that a template of 1000mm x 1000mm, plus 50mm bleed to all edges (1100mm x 1100mm) would be seen on screen as 250mm x 250mm plus 12.5 mm bleed to all edges (262.5mm x 262.5mm).
We strongly advise that artwork is flattened to avoid any issues with transparencies in the artwork.
